The painter
Claude SAUZET was born in 1941 in the Gard
in
the South of France.
While following traditional studies,
he entered
the School of Fine Arts in Nimes. By 1967, the painter was already well known
in his region.
In 1971, he started to expose
his work in Paris, rue
Saint Honoré.
He also participated
in major shows:
The National of
Fine Arts, The Automn Salon, and the Salon of French Artists etc...
Each painting is an enticement in ochre, yellow, lemon, or
transparents of vermillion red or madder shellac, ever so slightly
tempered with emerald greens or sea blue.
With themes constantly renewed,
his painting delights the sight
and entrances the spirit
in a universe of dreams.
His notoriety quickly
crossed
the borders of France.
His paintings are sought after in Japan,
The United States and
in numerous countries on the African continent.
