The painter
Bernard Debergh
was born in Paris in1940.
He Has been painting
professionally
for more than
30 years.
He has
lived in Réunion since 1985.
He paints landscapes in oils using a fine knife. His paintings are
lyrical, not static: they vary according to the humor of nature; one
can feel the wind in the filaos or the torrid heat on a road bordered
by luxuriant vegetation. One also perceives in the paintings the
influence of the impressionists.
Expressionist in his composition, graphism and chromatism, the artist
has a very personal style, with small surfaces painted in relief, and
a good dose of complementary chromatic. There is the pespective and
the colors of Réunion in all of his paintings.
